OUR HISTORY

Dr. Thomas P. Meyer helped found the Georgia Heart Center over 25 years ago with Dr. Hugh Sealy, the leading cardiologist in Macon at the time, and Damon King, then president of the Medical Center of Central Georgia. The center was founded in response to the need for an active catheterization lab in the Central Georgia area. In an effort to continue to provide a superior level of patient care and to further expand the services the practice could offer, Dr. Meyer partnered with Dr. Talley Culclasure in 2003. In an effort to give back to the medical community and to prepare the next generation of cardiologists, Dr. Meyer and Dr. Culclasure have faculty appointments at Mercer Medical School.

Georgia Heart and Vascular Center is also proud to utilize the services of Physician Assistants Marcus Parker, Rallie “Rooster” Cogburn, and Alysha Jaffer.
